Writes Rick Rozoff: On a report that the USS Gerald Ford carrier strike group is headed to the Mediterranean: If so, the USS Gerald Ford will join the USS Carl Vinson and USS Nimitz carrier strike groups. All 11 American carriers are supercarriers. Only France, with the Charles de Gaulle, has a supercarrier outside the U.S. The strike groups include anti-missile interceptor as well as Tomahawk cruise missile destroyers and cruisers.
