NYC nurses follow up private hospital strikes by demanding pay parity from city-owned Health + Hospitals network

“If you don’t have pay parity between the private sections and the public section, we’ll never be able to attract nurses to work at H+H,” Nancy Hagans, president of the New York Nurses Association, told the Daily News on Wednesday. She said the pay gap between city and private hospitals is about $19,000 a year.
